Terms and conditions

Welcome to Sport Psychology Perth ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services we provide. To protect the welfare of clients, psychology services in Australia are governed by regulations and ethical guidelines under the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics (2007)

Sport Psychology Perth is a private sport psychology practice providing a broad range of sport psychology services to meet the diverse needs of individuals. Consultations:

Once the client has made the decision to seek our professional services, they will begin to work closely with Dr Nick Medic. The initial first session typically focuses on assessing client’s reasons for seeking sport psychology services and their needs as an athlete and an individual with a primary focus to developing a program to address these reasons and needs. The initial 20 minutes of the first consultation session with Dr. Nick Medic is provided free of charge as this process is collaborative in that it aims to establish whether client’s needs can be addressed by our professional services. Following the initial consultation, Dr. Nick Medic will make specific recommendations of how many sessions the client will need to achieve their goals and negotiate a suitable timeframe that will fit in with their commitments and lifestyle. Our consultations are offered either at our office, online, or at the client’s preferred location for their convenience that is accessible and suitable for conducting consultations, specifically, locations that resemble the environment in which an athlete trains and competes. It is the responsibility of the client to discuss any change in their service needs with us as soon as possible.

Appointments and Fees:

Appointments can be scheduled, rebooked, or cancelled by contacting us via mobile, SMS or email. We value punctuality and professionalism, but we also recognize that circumstances can change and that a client may need to change or cancel their appointment. If a client misses a scheduled consultation without notice, or is more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled consultation, or cancels the scheduled consultation (24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment), it may be rescheduled at Dr Nick Medic's discretion or it may be cancelled (with a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of booked session cost being charged).

Professional service fees will be stated in client’s Service Agreement. They are derived based on The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees and will vary depending on the complexity, nature, expertise required, urgency of the matter, location and proximity, number of sessions booked or required, availability, and the duration of client’s agreed service.

All stated fees are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST. Fees are payable in full by bank transfer or cash within 5 business days after any single session and as an entire sum in advance or in a half or quarterly instalments at the start of each cycle period for any standard plans of 10, 20, and 45 sessions. If a client has any concerns about managing their payments or if they prefer specific payment plan options, please contact us directly to discuss this in more detail.
