Why choose us?

This is the million-dollar question. Are all sport psychologists and individuals offering mental skills training to athletes the same? While many offer similar services and convey similar messages on their websites, the real distinction lies in: Who it is that will assist you? How they will go about doing it? and Where will it be done? These three factors, the practitioner, their methods, and the setting in which learning takes place profoundly impact the success of their clients' outcomes.

Who will work with you?

How will we work with you?

Where will we work with you?

Each session is planned and conducted by Dr Nick Medic personally. This ensures direct collaboration with Dr Nick Medic, allowing you to benefit from his wealth of experience and expertise in consulting, applied practice, academia, and sport psychology practice. Dr Nick Medic is a registered sport psychologist who is passionate and dedicated to providing his clients with a personalised and quality services to help them achieve their goals and optimise their performance.

All sessions are conducted one-on-one and in person (even though online options are available). This way of communication engages the sport psychologist and the athlete in a deeper and more meaningful way, is ideal for problem-solving, building stronger professional relationships, addressing sensitive issues, enhancing credibility and trust, interpreting thoughts, behaviours, and emotions, and is best for tailoring programs to meet individual's unique needs.

Most sessions are conducted in a real-world setting (for example, on the basketball court, on the soccer pitch, etc) that closely resembles the sport competition/practice even though some sessions are done in an office environment. This is essential because it maximises the learning and effectiveness of psychological skills as they are learned, practiced, and perfected within an environment in which they will be performed.
